Overview/Mission

The mission of Mobile Anesthesiologists Chicago, LLC is to become the office-based and ambulatory Anesthesia Practice; setting the highest standards for patient safety and quality of care in the practice of mobile anesthesia.

At Mobile Anesthesiologists®, we believe that office-based anesthesia is beneficial for both the physician and the patient. Physicians find office-based anesthesia more convenient and cost effective, and it allows them to handle caseloads more efficiently. Patients, on the other hand, encounter a less intimidating environment and preserve a sense of privacy they would not necessarily experience in a hospital setting.

We have been AAAHC accredited since 1999. In fact, Mobile Anesthesiologists® is the only national full-service, turnkey, office-based anesthesia practice accredited by AAAHC. Our anesthesiologists are board-certified/eligible, and our recovery nurses are ACLS/PALS certified. We strictly adhere to all ASA standards and guidelines for outpatient anesthesia and recovery.

Encompassing our mission are both professional and public obligations to advance the practice of office-based and ambulatory anesthesia by focusing on the following three objectives.

Mentoring the practice of office-based and ambulatory anesthesia

To offer our consulting clients the opportunity to utilize Mobile's proprietary clinical pathways, methodologies, and policies and procedures.
To assist our physician clients in achieving accreditation status in their facilities.
To help develop academic programs offering anesthesia residents' education in the challenges and nuances of office-based and ambulatory anesthesia.

Helping to set policy and guide legislation

To work with the state regulatory agencies, state legislatures, and accreditation bodies in order to achieve high or higher a standard of care in the ambulatory and office-based setting as currently exists in hospitals
To continue working with the payer community to recognize the efficacy of office-based surgery in helping contain the rising cost of medicine while maintaining the highest level of patient safety and standards of care.
To continue to help develop the increasing number of surgical/medical procedures that can safely migrate to the office setting.

Serving the public interests

To educate the public regarding who provides anesthesia in the office-based and ambulatory settings and what appropriate information they should seek in that regard.
To develop truly mobile surgical facilities, meeting all licensure and accreditation guidelines, while serving the needs of the remote, isolated, and rural communities.
To provide charitable services for the uninsured, underinsured, and underserved population.
